Your life without a computer: what does it look like?
I don’t know what to do! Am I a zombie!? Lol. But seriously, I can’t imagine my life without a computer. I don’t know how the apostles did it. God bless and stay tuned!
Your life without a computer: what does it look like?
I don’t know what to do! Am I a zombie!? Lol. But seriously, I can’t imagine my life without a computer. I don’t know how the apostles did it. God bless and stay tuned!
In what ways does hard work make you feel fulfilled?
Well, hard work is crucial to a stable society. Without hard, ethical, work society would crumble. This is what God made us for. He made us to work (Genesis 2). Whether that is physical labor, desk work, or being a parent or a child doing chores, our whole society depends upon hard, ethical, work. Hard work for me, gives me a sense of satisfaction that I am doing what God wants me to do. God bless and stay tuned!
What’s the trait you value most about yourself?
I strive very hard to be straight as an arrow. Put very simply, I hate dishonesty. I know sometimes you have to be indirect to be polite, that’s not what I’m talking about. What I mean is flat out, blatant lying. I want to tell the truth no matter what, in every circumstance. This is the way God would have me live. This is the way God would have all of us live. God bless and stay tuned!
Are you seeking security or adventure?
So God calls us to faith filled risked. But those risks aren’t necessarily like selling all your belongings after first coming to Christ and moving to Timbuktu on mission with an international missions team (let me know if God called you to this!). There’s a degree of logic to His callings because God is a God of Order and not disorder. They make sense to those in the faith. That being said, I love adventure and the unknown (I founded a ministry at age 26 after all). I also love having all my ducks in a row (I’m not going to get loans for the ministry and am willing for it to grow slowly for upwards of 10 years and simply spend money for things like certificates of deposit out of my own pocket initially. That way I can provide a loan myself, so to speak, and not utilize credit). I also personally prefer to have debts paid before accruing new ones. So honestly, while I prefer security, I only slightly prefer security. I do believe God often calls us to both of them though! Stay tuned and God bless!
How do you want to retire?
So the title might sound extreme, but I believe in living in your calling until God calls you home. That being said, I want to learn from the example of people like Charles Stanley and preach until I pass from this life into the next. Obviously I may not have that option depending on how I die someday, but even if I’m bed bound I want to still preach the gospel to all those who will receive it.
What fears have you overcome and how?
So there are a lot of fears I have overcome, such as escalators. The way I’ve overcome them is by facing them and doing or somehow forcing myself to overcome them. Trusting God is in control, I am saved, and will inherit eternal life no matter what because of my faith in Jesus Christ has really helped me face and then overcome my fears aside from going up and down escalators.
Describe one simple thing you do that brings joy to your life.
This one is pretty simple. I just listen to Chip Ingram and John Piper sermons for joy. There’s something about hearing the Word of God preached that just brings joy to the believer.
Do you practice religion?
The easy answer is yes I practice religion. I practice Charismatic Evangelicalism. For those of you who don’t know what that is, I pray in tongues and listen deeply to God’s voice in scripture and communication He whispers into my spirit. I also share my faith with others, believe the Bible is without flaw or error, believe the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross and His resurrection which paid for my sins and everyone else’s sin who believes in Him as Lord is central to the Christian Faith, and finally believe Jesus Christ is the only way to live happily ever after once we pass from this life into the next (so to speak). I read my Bible daily, seek to apply it, seek to listen to God throughout the day for the times when He speaks (and I know it’s God when my promptings align with the teachings of Scripture). I attend church every Sunday and also attend Bible study every Wednesday. I get to be a brand ambassador for a Christian apparel company and almost exclusively wear Elevated Faith’s clothing because of it. So yeah, I practice religion hahaha. God bless! Stay tuned!
What is the legacy you want to leave behind?
I want to leave behind a lasting ministry. One that succeeds me in my death. One that I can pass to my future children or my nieces and nephews if I don’t have children. One that has impacted countless lives. Transformed lives. Brought people out of addiction. Brought people out of jail into transformed lives. Helped people lead lives transformed by Jesus Christ. Not just in this country but others as well. I want to leave a legacy for the next generation that is only possible because of Jesus Christ. Because of Jesus Christ, I’m alive! God bless and stay tuned into Jesus!
Are you a leader or a follower?
So I’m a leader by most people’s standards. That being said, I also recognize when I’m not in a position to command people, like at work when I’m not a manager. That being said, I’m more of a servant/laze fair leader so it’s sometimes hard to see that in me. I’m no happier than when I’m leading people though. I’ve led a small group for around 3-5 years as well. I know there are people I need to follow at the same time though. My church leaders, my denominational leaders, my government, etc. So basically, a good leader is a servant leader. Someone who leads through serving others needs. Likewise, any good leader is also subject to some higher authority as well, even if that authority is God Himself. So all in all, I’m a leader not a follower
